Being based in (and deeply rooted) in San Diego, one of the partnerships we’re most proud of is with our hometown Major League Baseball club. For the past five years we’ve partnered with the San Diego Padres to do, what has become, our signature “Friarknocks” giveaway. For one home game each Summer, the first 25,000 fans in attendance receive a pair of Friarknocks sunglasses, and every year we introduce a new design to add to the archive. These special shades have become highly coveted by hardcore Knock fans and Padres fans because they are not available for purchase—only way to scoop them up is by coming out to the old ball game!.

Over the years, we’ve built a great relationship with the Padres and have collaborated on plenty of memorable moments around the ballpark. From co-hosting College Nights on the upper deck to sponsoring every home run and the “Knock of the Game,” we’ve loved being part of the fan experience. We’ve even had the opportunity to throw out a few first pitches. With Knockaround HQ only a stone’s throw from Petco Park, chances are you’ll spot us taking in the occasional day game with our favorite sunglasses on.
