Trick or Treat!
Remember that little Halloween rhyme from when you were a kid? Check this out, we spiced up the lyrics a bit:
đ¶ Trick or treat, trick or treat, give us something good to eat! If you donât, we donât care, weâll still make shades you love to wear! đ¶
Alright, maybe that remix isnât so great. Luckily for us, there are plenty of other Halloweeney songs to get us in the spirit of the spooky season. So go get your costume on, help yourself to a few pieces of candy (before the neighborhood kids get their hands on it), and turn on this playlist to get the Halloween party started!

The Citizens of Halloween with âThis Is Halloweenâ
Each October for the past decade or so, weâve come up with a Limited Edition pair of Halloween-oriented sunglasses. Itâs a holiday full of possibilities and creativity, so we take full advantage of the opportunity. This yearâs pair might be our favorite yet: the Knock âEm Dead Fort Knocks. Theyâre zombie themed, full of color, and absolutely worth a look. If you havenât scooped a pair yet, check them outâthey wonât be around for long!
Misfits and John Cafiero with âMonster Mashâ
This probably ainât the version you heard at your elementary school Halloween party. Still rocks though.
Michael Jackson with âThrillerâ
Is this the best music video of all time? Probably not. Is it worth pausing to watch the whole thing if it comes across your screen? Absolutely. Plus, nothing will inspire you to learn a dance routine more than a zombified Michael Jackson & Co. strutting down a steamy street with outstretched arms and wiggly knees.
Â
Rihanna with âDisturbiaâ
Disturbia is a great song, but itâs also the name of a pretty solid âscaryâ movie if youâre on the more timid side. Itâs not âspooky,â but there are certainly some moments that will have you on the edge of your seat! Check out the trailer here.
Â
Ray Parker Jr. with âGhostbustersâ
The idea of ghosts is a âcultural universal,â meaning itâs found in all known human cultures. This begs the question: if there are supposedly ghosts in every culture, does that mean there is the potential for ghostbusters in every culture? Imagine the crossover movies that could be madeâŠ
Â
KC & The Sunshine Band with âIâm Your Boogie Manâ
Not to be confused with a bogeyman, which is an imaginary monster that parents use to scare their kids into behaving, a boogie man is, we can only assume, a creature with dance moves so amazing that they actually cause fright. Or something like that.
Â
Band of Horses with âIs There A Ghostâ
Last minute Halloween costume idea: âCool Ghoulâ
1. Grab an old sheet from wherever you can find an old sheet
2. Cut eye holes, because being able to see while youâre walking around is helpful
3. Cover eye holes with your favorite pair of Knockarounds
4. Secure shades with your choice of hat, or go âbaldâ if youâre feeling extra wild
The best part about this one is that you can wear sweatpants underneath and no one will be the wiser!
Â
DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince with âA Nightmare On My Streetâ
Not many people can pull off a novelty rap song about an 80âs horror film, but by golly Will Smith knocks it out of the park. Plus, lyrics aside, this beat is fire.
Â
Warren Zevon with âWerewolves of Londonâ
The first pair of Limited Edition sunglasses we ever made were the Werewolf Classics. Weâve come a long way with our design, but this pair still has a special place in our hearts!
Â
The Shaggs with âItâs Halloweenâ
Last but not least, we give you one of the worst songs of all time, Halloween-themed or otherwise. But despite the off-rhythm drums, bizarre lyrics, and fully untuned guitar playing, The Shaggs somehow managed to create a cult classic of a holiday track, and for that we tip our hats. Listen to it once and you might hate it. Listen to it five times and you might start to like it. Listen to it ten times and youâll probably hate it again. Itâs cyclical like that.
