About the Position:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, intelligent Financial Analyst to join our team. This is an incredible opportunity to join our amazingly talented team and play an important role in the growth and future success of Knockaround. This position will oversee several important financial aspects of Knockaround. You will report directly to the VP of Finance & Operations, and will be working out of our one-of-a-kind office in Old Town San Diego. Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly financial reports for month end closing financial statements
  • Work with VP – Finance & Operations to develop and maintain
  • comprehensive company financial models and forecasts – income statement, balance sheet and cash flow models
  • Compare and analyze company’s monthly actual financial results with budget models to determine any variances
  • Manage the company’s receivables and help develop systems to maintain a strong receivable’s turnover ratio
  • Help reconcile the company’s payables and ensure timely payment to vendors
  • Create and analyze sales and inventory reports across all channels, identifying trends and variances
  • Help monitor fraudulent and disputed transactions
  • Assist sales team by providing critical analysis and statistics to ensure their success
  • Process and file all company tax filings including monthly/quarterly state sales tax, year end taxes and any other state/city tax needs
  • - Provide support for sales and production teams and/or complete other
  • miscellaneous financial tasks



  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Business, Finance or Economics)
  • Have a strong basis in accounting and basic accounting principles
  • A thorough and working understanding of financial modeling and projecting
  • Have attention to detail along with excellent analytical, critical thinking,
  • problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong business knowledge
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and able to work effectively within a team
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience
  • Experience working with Xero accounting software is a plus
  • Must be passionate about Knockaround and fit well within the company culture
