Job Overview
The Head of Finance / CFO will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the company. This is a full-time position based in the Knockaround office in San Diego. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of finance, accounting, and business strategy, as well as a strong track record of success in leading and managing financial operations for a growing company.

Main Responsibilities

Oversee all financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices
Manage cash flow and capital allocation, including working capital management, capital expenditures, and debt financing
Oversee the accounting function, including month-end close, financial reporting, and tax compliance with a focus on accelerated timelines and accuracy
Provide financial leadership and support to cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, operations, and HR
Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute long-term financial strategies that support business growth and expansion
Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including auditors, bankers, and investors
Manage and mentor a small team of internal and external accounting/finance professionals to ensure high performance and growth opportunities

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred
10+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role
Demonstrated experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
Experience in consumer goods, e-commerce, or retail is mandatory
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing and mentoring high-performing teams
Proven ability to think strategically and develop long-term financial plans that align with business goals

Estimated Base Salary Range: $150,000 - $250,000
