Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and coordinate the company's logistics operations, including the company’s warehouse, supply chain, and transportation/distribution providers. The position reports directly to the Director of Operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer; Head of Sales; Director – e-Commerce & Digital Marketing; and Production Manager to ensure that all logistics efforts are cross-functionally aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

This position has two direct reports: Warehouse Manager and Assistant Warehouse/Wholesale Manager.


Main Responsibilities

  • Developing logistics strategies and plans to support the overall business objectives
  • Collaborating with other departments to align logistics activities with sales, production, and customer service
  • Analyzing and forecasting logistics needs and requirements based on historical data, market trends, and business growth projections
  •  Overseeing warehouse operations, including layout planning, space utilization, and safety measures
  • Managing inventory levels, conducting regular audits, and implementing effective inventory control procedures
  • Ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment and coordinating with the warehouse team to optimize efficiency
  • Implementing and improving warehouse management systems (WMS) and other inventory management tools
  • Pairing with warehouse managers to optimize staffing and scheduling for efficiencies
  • Managing the supply chain process, including procurement, transportation, and warehousing
  • Coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products
  • Monitoring inventory levels and optimizing stock levels to minimize holding costs while meeting customer demands
  • Implementing and maintaining efficient supply chain systems and technologies
  • Selecting and managing transportation carriers and logistics service providers
  • Planning and organizing the routing and scheduling of shipments to ensure timely deliveries
  • Monitoring and tracking shipments to ensure compliance with delivery schedules and resolving any issues or delays
  • Negotiating freight rates, contracts, and terms with carriers to achieve cost savings
  • Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure logistics performance
  • Analyzing data and generating reports on logistics operations, identifying areas for improvement
  • Implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
  • Conducting regular performance reviews of logistics staff and providing feedback and coaching
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., customs, import/export regulations)
  • Managing risks associated with logistics operations, such as supply chain disruptions or security issues
  • Developing and implementing contingency plans to mitigate risks and maintain business continuity

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 3 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful logistics strategies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of a broad range of marketing channels and tools
  • Prior experience in consumer goods, e-commerce or retail is mandatory

Estimated Base Salary Range: $85,000 – 105,000
