Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as a Social Media and Community Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing our social media strategy, managing our online community, and fostering engagement across various platforms. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, content creation, and community management skills to enhance brand awareness, drive traffic, and cultivate meaningful relationships with our audience.

 

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to enhance brand visibility and engagement across all relevant platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Threads)
  • Create and curate compelling content, including posts, videos, graphics, and other multimedia assets, that resonate with our target audience and align with our brand voice and objectives
  • Manage day-to-day activities on social media platforms, including scheduling posts, responding to comments and messages, and monitoring mentions and conversations about our brand
  • Grow our social media following and increase audience engagement through strategic initiatives such as contests, campaigns, and partnerships
  • Monitor social media trends, tools, and best practices to stay informed and make recommendations for optimizing our social media presence
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, customer service, creative and product development, to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and branding
  • Analyze key metrics and performance indicators to track the effectiveness of social media efforts and generate actionable insights for continuous improvement
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with our online community by actively participating in conversations, addressing concerns, and fostering a positive and inclusive environment
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging platforms, and changes in social media algorithms to adapt strategies accordingly and maintain a competitive edge
  • Develop and manage the day-to-day of the next iteration of the Knockaround ambassador program, the Knock Squad

  

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
  • Proven experience in social media management
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and ability to craft compelling content
  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and brand building.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and insights to drive informed decision-making
  • Experience using social media management tools and analytics platforms
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with diverse audiences.
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Knowledge of design principles and proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus

Expected salary: $65k - $80k

This position will be full-time and will be based in San Diego at the Knockaround HQ.
