2025 marks our 20th anniversary! It's hard to believe it's been 20 years since I started this whole operation in a small art studio on the campus of UC-San Diego.

What began as a simple idea has grown into a global community that values creativity and adventure. Thanks to your support, we've expanded from a quirky sunglasses company run by an art student to a full-blown, global eyewear brand.

Your support—whether it was an order for your first pair a few months ago or your 80th—have shaped our journey. This anniversary year, we're excited to celebrate with Limited Edition re-releases, cool collaborations, and lots of fun.

From an Art Studio to a One-Car garage

What began as a small-scale college project gained momentum with the growing demand for quality eyewear fueling our evolution into a full-fledged company. From humble beginnings, Knockaround has grown into a thriving brand, offering a wide range of frames and colors that blend practicality with laid-back California style, making it easy for everyone to find their perfect affordable, stylish, and durable pair of sunglasses.

Over the past two decades, we’ve grown into a global sunglass brand, offering over 25 unique frame styles, top-of-the-line lenses, and everything from quirky Limited Editions to custom build-your-own shades and prescription sunglasses. Our journey has been shaped by the incredible Knock Fans who’ve supported us along the way. To celebrate this milestone, we’re bringing back some fan-favorite Limited Editions, teaming up for exciting collaborations, and planning plenty of fun throughout the year.
