Being based in (and deeply rooted) in San Diego, one of the partnerships we’re most proud of is with our hometown Major League Baseball club. Since 2012 we’ve partnered with the San Diego Padres to do, what has become, our signature “Friarknocks” giveaway. For one home game each Summer, the first 20,000 fans in attendance receive a pair of Friarknocks sunglasses, and every year we introduce a new design to add to the archive. These special shades have become highly coveted by hardcore Knock Fans and Padres fans because they are not available for purchase—only way to scoop them up is by coming out to the old ball game!

Of course, 2020’s season looks a little different than previous MLB seasons and without fans in the stadium there’s no one to give a fresh, new pair of #Friarknocks to. So, this year tune into home games (from your couch) and look for new Knockaround tv appearances throughout Petco Park—Go Pads!
