9 Best Celebrity Podcasts
Seems like just about every big star has a celebrity podcast these days. But which are the celebrity podcasts worth listening to? Well, here you go...
Armchair Expert With Dax Shepard
One of the most popular celebrity podcasts is also one of the best podcasts overall. Actor Dax Shepard, one half of a celebrity power couple with his wife Kristen Bell, offers semi-informed chats on a wide variety of subjects. He's joined by co-host Monica Padman for sit-downs that often take deep dives into everything from Hollywood life with their A-list pals to the deep truths of the 18th Century Enlightenment. With an anthropology degree and lots of life experience, Shepard truly is an "armchair expert" on a host of different topics.
Anna Faris Is Unqualified
Anna Faris is another star who has tons of Hollywood pals. And lots and lots of them show up on her podcast Anna Faris Is Unqualified. We're talking about names like Nick Jonas, Rosie O’Donnell, Shaquille O'Neal, Elliot Page, and Aubrey Plaza—just to name a few. The podcast host and star of TV's Mom may be "unqualified" to give advice, still, she and her friends dish out lots of tips for navigating life in an easygoing way that's sure to make you smile.
Getting Curious With Jonathan Van Ness
The moment Netflix rolled out the reboot of Queer Eye it was clear that Jonathan Van Ness was its breakout star. No shade on his co-stars, but Van Ness, with his quick wit and signature waxed mustache, was an immediate fan favorite. But, perhaps oddly, Getting Curious With Jonathan Van Ness isn't really about him or his newfound fame, as he delves into serious issues such as racism and Native American rights—of course with some of his infectious humor and charm where appropriate.
Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend
As he's an A-list star himself, Conan O'Brien is able to get some of the biggest names in Hollywood to join him on his podcast Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend. Is Tom Hanks a big enough friend for you? How about Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, or Michelle Obama? But the chats are rarely about superstars with massive egos, often, rather, intimate discussions that go from the mundane facts of everyday life to big social issues.
Office Ladies
You've probably seen the recent ads for NBC's streaming service Peacock with lots of clips from The Office. The comedy classic has found a new life online and two of its stars have recently found success in the podcast world. On the podcast Office Ladies, real-life best friends and Office co-stars Jenna Fischer ("Pam") and Anglea Kinsey ("Angela") reflect on their time on the show, giving us behind-the-scenes glimpses and relating The Office to today's current events.
Sibling Rivalry With Kate Hudson
And Oliver Hudson too. While his sister may be more famous, Oliver Hudson is a star in his own right, featured on the TV shows Nashville, Scream Queens, and Splitting Up Together. Together the Hudson siblings talk about family life with mom Goldie Hawn and step-dad Kurt Russell, plus they welcome celebrity guests such as Paris Hilton, Jimmy Kimmel, and Zooey Deschanel to their podcast Sibling Rivalry.
Here’s the Thing With Alec Baldwin
Well-known actor, Alec Baldwin, sits down for intimate conversations on his podcast Here’s the Thing. And as he's a big-name star, other big stars drop by for chats. He's welcomed Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld, Lena Dunham, David Letterman, and Barbara Streisand, just to name a few names.
Under the Skin With Russell Brand
Surely the most esoteric celebrity podcast out there, Under the Skin With Russell Brand digs into what he calls the "truths behind our constructed reality." With wit and charm, the comedian goes into heavy issues like mental health, environmental destruction, and spirituality. But he's also not above having a few laughs with his celebrity pals.
Bill Gates and Rashida Jones Ask Big Questions
Perhaps no podcasters take on today's most pressing issues as well as Bill Gates and Rashida Jones. The tech-billionaire-philanthropist and actress do indeed ask big questions: such as the future of life as we know it on Planet Earth. They get some help from experts like Dr. Anthony Fauci and big names like Bono of U2 fame.
The list could go on. There are lots of celebrity podcasts to listen to. And maybe after you get through the Top 10 you'll check out some other cool celebrity podcasts.
