19 San Diego Parks that Allow Alcohol
November 21, 2019
Here in San Diego, we’re blessed with amazing weather and beautiful sights, so naturally we want to enjoy these benefits—ideally with an adult beverage in, say, a park.
Alas—as you are likely aware—alcohol is off limits at most of San Diego’s parks. But there are still over a dozen parks where you can legally enjoy an alcoholic beverage.
The following list, from the San Diego Municipal Code, is accurate as of April 2019 (make sure to check your specific park before you indulge as rules may have changed). Note that in most parks alcohol is only allowed between the hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (noon to 8 p.m. in Balboa Park) unless you have a special event permit from the City Manager.
Cheers!
