POW! WOW! x Knockaround

Every year in February, dozens of artists, designers, and creatives converge on Kaka'ako --a neighborhood in Honolulu, Hawaii-- to produce new artwork on outdoor walls. The week long event is known as Pow Wow Hawaii, and Knockaround was thrilled to be involved in 2013.

A Knockaround contingency was on-hand throughout the week, walking the Honolulu streets and documenting the many works-in-progress. Be sure to watch the recap video below, which features Madsteez, Dabs Myla, 123 Klan, Jeff Hamada, Nychos, Jeff Soto, Prime, and other internationally and locally renowned artists.

In conjunction with Pow Wow, Knockaround produced 1000 pairs of very special sunglasses that were made available on Knockaround.com and given to each of the artists in Hawaii.

Featuring matte black and magenta two-tone frames, each pair came with a super-suede pouch and three spray paint caps. The inside of the right arm was branded with the Pow Wow Hawaii logo, and a smaller version of the logo was laser-etched on the left lens.

The 2013 sunglasses are now completely sold out. But don't worry, we've got good news: we'll be back for more Pow Wow fun in 2014. In fact, the sunglasses are in production right now.
